Effective 2026-07-31
Terms of Service
These Terms explain the rules for using ChatStory to upload private materials, request creative outputs, and, where available, publish stories.
Version: 2026-07-31-v1
Eligibility and accounts
You must be legally capable of entering into these Terms and must provide accurate account information. You are responsible for activity through your account and for keeping your login credentials secure.
Most ChatStory features require authentication. We may suspend or restrict accounts that violate these Terms, create security risk, or misuse the service.
User Content and ownership
User Content includes chat exports, documents, photographs, images, attachments, notes, user-created memories, life stories, fictional stories, public posts, and related materials you upload, submit, generate, or publish through ChatStory.
You keep ownership of your User Content. ChatStory does not obtain ownership merely because you upload or process content through the service.
You grant ChatStory a limited licence to host, store, process, transform, display, deliver, and support your User Content only as reasonably necessary to provide the requested service, operate the product, protect security, respond to support requests, and comply with law.
Private uploads
Private chat exports and documents may contain personal information about you and other people. A private upload is for processing only and does not automatically become public.
You represent that you have the necessary rights, permissions, consent, or lawful authority to upload and process the material, including third-party personal information contained in chats, images, or attachments.
Do not upload unlawfully obtained material, hacked or stolen content, passwords, OTPs, payment-card details, authentication keys, or unnecessary sensitive credentials.
Public stories
If public story publishing is available, publishing requires a separate deliberate action and separate publishing consent. Private upload consent is not public publishing consent.
You are responsible for public stories you publish. Public stories must not unlawfully disclose another person's private information, infringe intellectual property rights, or contain material you are legally prohibited from publishing.
Prohibited content and conduct
You must not use ChatStory for copyright infringement, unlawful privacy violations, non-consensual intimate material, child sexual exploitation material, unlawful sexual content, unlawful threats, harassment, unlawful hate content, deceptive impersonation, malware, credential theft, hacked or stolen private information, unlawful doxxing, illegal activity, unlawful defamatory content, or other content prohibited by applicable law.
You must not attempt to access another user's private uploads, outputs, legal audit records, or account data.
Copyright, privacy, and complaints
You are responsible for ensuring that your uploads and public content do not infringe copyright, privacy, publicity, confidentiality, or other rights.
Copyright, privacy, and content complaints may be sent to admin@chatstory.in. ChatStory may restrict, remove, or disable access to disputed public content while a complaint is evaluated, but every allegation does not automatically result in permanent deletion.
AI, automation, and creative transformation
ChatStory outputs may involve manual, automated, or AI-assisted processing where implemented. Generated or transformed content may contain inaccuracies, omissions, formatting differences, or creative interpretation.
ChatStory does not provide legal, medical, financial, psychological, or other professional advice. Outputs are creative keepsake materials, not professional conclusions or evidence.
Infrastructure, security, and lawful disclosure
ChatStory uses third-party service providers where necessary to operate authentication, storage, hosting, processing, support, and delivery. We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, but no service can promise perfect security.
We may disclose information when legally required, to enforce these Terms, protect users or the service, investigate abuse, or respond to lawful requests.
Availability, liability, and indemnity
We try to keep ChatStory available and reliable, but the service may be interrupted, delayed, changed, or discontinued. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ChatStory is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
Nothing in these Terms excludes rights that cannot be waived under applicable consumer law. To the extent legally permitted, you agree to indemnify ChatStory for claims arising from your unlawful content, rights violations, or misuse of the service.
Future physical products
Physical books, merchandise, printing, shipping, courier, tax, cancellation, replacement, and physical-product refund terms apply only if those features are enabled. Personalised products may differ from previews because of printing and production constraints, subject always to mandatory consumer rights.
Governing law and updates
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes are subject to applicable Indian law and mandatory consumer rights.
We may update these Terms by changing the version and effective date. Contact: admin@chatstory.in.
